the other time, i pass by Chinatown and saw the lightup also but didnt pass by 佛牙寺, thought how come got lightup, didnt realise that it's lightup for Vesak Day...

I also very suprise this year Chinatown got light up for Vesak Day now then I know is due to 佛牙寺.
If I don't read Chinese, I would have thought this is Chinese New Year celebration. Does 佛牙寺 have 佛牙???
